Go Cleaner: Clean up Storage Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the Android application Go Cleaner: Clean up Storage (the “App”) handles information. The App helps users review and clean local images and storage.
1. Information We Handle
The App may handle the following information only when needed for its current functions:
- Local images and media access. When you choose a cleanup feature and grant Android photo or media permission, the App can display and process the permitted images on your device.
- Permission state and local settings. The App stores necessary permission status and feature settings locally on your device.
- Limited first-party feature events. After you use an approved feature, the App may send only the predefined feature event name to our first-party endpoint so we can count aggregate feature use.
The App does not collect an App account, user ID, advertising ID, Android ID, Firebase installation ID, image or file content, thumbnails, file names, file paths, contact content, purchase data, or subscription data.
2. How We Use Information
Information is used only to:
- provide the image review and cleanup features selected by you;
- remember local permission and feature settings; and
- measure aggregate feature counts so we can understand whether core functions are used.
We do not use information for advertising, cross-app tracking, or user profiling.
3. Local Processing and User Control
Image review and cleanup processing occurs on your device. Image and file content is not uploaded to our server. The App changes or deletes an item only after you select or confirm the relevant action.
You may deny or revoke photo or media permission in Android Settings. The related feature may stop working if the required permission is unavailable.
Deleted items may be handled by Android, the device gallery, a storage provider, or a connected cloud service. Recovery and synchronization behavior depends on those services and their settings.
4. Limited First-Party Feature Counts
The feature-count mechanism is not initialized when the App launches. It sends an approved event only after the corresponding feature action occurs. The event does not contain a persistent identifier or any media content and is not maintained as a user-level activity history.
We retain aggregate feature-count information only as long as reasonably needed to understand basic feature use.
5. Third-Party Services
The current App version does not integrate any third-party application SDK. It does not use Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, advertising SDKs, purchase SDKs, analytics SDKs, or crash-reporting SDKs.
Google Play distributes the App, and Android system services provide permissions and local media operations. Google Play, Android, device manufacturers, galleries, storage providers, and connected cloud services operate under their own terms and privacy policies.
6. Sharing and Sale of Information
We do not sell personal information, media content, or cleanup activity. We do not share media content with advertisers or data brokers. Limited feature events are sent only to our first-party endpoint for aggregate feature counting.
We may disclose information if required by applicable law or a valid legal process.
7. Advertising, Purchases, and Accounts
The current App version does not display advertising, offer in-app purchases or subscriptions, or create or require an App account.
8. Data Security
We minimize data transfer by processing image content on the device and limiting transmitted feature events. We use reasonable safeguards for the limited first-party event mechanism, but no storage or transmission method is completely secure.
9. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A higher minimum age or parental-consent requirement applies where required by law.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App’s functions or data practices change. The revised policy will show an updated date. If advertising, purchases, a new SDK, Firebase, persistent identifiers, or materially different data use is added, the policy and product review must be updated before release.
